A good dinner can satisfy more than just our appetite. A vibrant, local food system can provide Ohio's family farmers with a secure income, while protecting our environment and meeting the growing consumer demand for fresh, safe, healthy food.

The Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (OEFFA) was formed in 1979 and is a membership-based, grassroots organization, dedicated to promoting and supporting sustainable, ecological, and healthful food systems.

OEFFA's membership includes farmers, consumers, gardeners, chefs, teachers, researchers, retailers, and students. Together, we are working to recreate a regionally-scaled farming, processing, and distribution system that moves food from farm to local fork.

My organic certification gives my customers confidence in the integrity of my produce and enables me to earn a fair price for my products and build a sustainable business that pays the bills. OEFFA has educated the public about organic food and they helped me connect with other farmers, customers, and local markets.

Here’s my pledge to you: I’m going to help save the family farm. I’m going to live and work in harmony with the Earth while also creating an economically viable business that my son can take over someday. I couldn’t do this without the support and community I get from OEFFA. Please consider making your financial pledge to the organization that helps me.

Will you support OEFFA’s work by donating $52? Just $1 a week will foster OEFFA’s work to nurture family farmers and sustainable food systems that nourish our bodies, our communities, and our environment. To make a donation, click here.

Then, join us as we open our barn doors for a free tour of Birdsong Farm this summer. Please consider opening your wallet for the organization that has been bringing farmers and consumers together during this free public farm tour series for more than 30 years.

P.S. Please feel free to share this message with your friends, family, and neighbors!
