2012 Application Fees:
Producer fees start at $730 and increase from there depending on the state you live in, if you are certifying livestock, have a handling operation, the date you submit your application, etc. Please consult the appropriate link above for more information.
Processor/handler fees are $500-2500, based on the size of the operation, with inspection fees and expenses billed separately after your inspection. These inspector fees can be anywhere from $250-1,000+ depending on the size and complexity of your operation.
Expedited service is available to all applicants for $300.
2012 Application Deadlines:
The Early Bird deadline for all producers is March 15, 2012. Have your applicantion postmarked by this date to receive the best rate. The standard deadline is May 15, 2012. After May 15th, producers should add $100 per month to their certification fees. September 15, 2012 is the final deadline for all producer applications this year.
You must submit an OSP annually to remain certified.
Applications are accepted year-round for processor/handlers, all-year greenhouses, and maple syrup operations.
