Land Access 101 Virtual Workshop
Online
Saturday, March 25, 2023
10:00 to 11:30 A.M.
Land access is one of the biggest barriers beginning farmers face. This workshop will help you discover creative and community-oriented solutions to land access. Whether you've identified the land you want to farm or are just starting your search, this session will share tools and best practices to help you in the process.
Led by Farmland Specialist Kelly Cabral, this virtual workshop will cover:
- whether buying or leasing is the best option for you;
- resources for finding land;
- tips for conducting a land assessment; and
- what to know about financing.
This is meant to be an overview of land access topics and not an in-depth workshop; however, additional resources will be provided to support your on-going learning. Participants will leave with practical tools and resources to aid their land search process.
The event will be held virtually on Zoom. It will take place on Saturday, March 25 from 10:00 to 11:30 A.M. Registration is $10 for members and $20 for non-members.
BIPOC participants can receive 75 percent off the member and non-member registration by using discount code: BIPOC75.
